    Klaas has an international orientation with a successful track record in the Netherlands, the UK, Denmark, Sweden and other regions.

    Prof. Dr. Clemens Gause, born in Berlin, studied Psychology, Philosophy and Law at the Freie Universität and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. He has a Master Degree in Politics and Public Administration and made his PhD in Military Sciences at the University of Potsdam.

    He started his career as a research assistant for national and international security in the german Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag). Later he became director for government relations of the TÜV Rheinland Consulting GmbH and was from 2009 to 2013 CEO of the Forum on the Future of Public Security and Safety located in the german Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag). From 2009 to 2014 he was a supervisory boardmember at the D-Labs GmbH. He was Head of BOS Leitstellen Deutschland and Head of Public & Industry Affairs at Siemens Building Technologies Germany from 2014 to 2019.

    Since 2019 he is CEO at the VfS – The National Association of Security and Safety Technology.

    He has written and published several books and articles, reports and opinions in the fields of industry and security policy. He was several years adjunct professor at the University of Potsdam and the Deutsche Universität für Weiterbildung.

    Since 2022 he is professor for security technology and informationmanagement at the Northern Business School in Hamburg.
