The emergency command and control center of Lower Austria (Notruf Niederoesterreich – NNOe) was founded in 2003 to bring over 80 Comm Centers into one. Currently NNOe operates as one technical system, on four different locations in Lower Austria.

The agency´s call and contact volume is about 4 million annually. Requests for EMS, patient transport, First Aid courses and blood donations and much more are handled. NNOe also runs the service for practicioners. NNOe dispatches 819 PTA & EMS Units, 33 doctor cars and 9 HEMS, 38 Mountain Rescue squads and 39 Psychosocial Response Teams.

Highly technical equipped with e.g. VoIP, advanced priority dispatch system, computer aided dispatch system and interoperable digital radio the workflow is well planned and standardized.

Unique part of the philosophy from NNOe is high quality performance, confirmed with becoming the first Accredited Center of Excellence in continental Europe and getting awarded with the Certificate of Quality Standard by EENA.
